Deltaville Maritime Museum Library

The Museum Library

Begun in 2004, the library has grown quickly and primarily by donations from local residents and supporters. The library's collection includes books about Deltaville, the Chesapeake Bay and region, boats, boating, boatbuilding, and maritime history. It also has a collection of books on gardening, wildlife of the area, and of the water. Visitors to the Museum are encouraged to visit the library and use these volumes. A television and vcr are provided to view videos on the same subjects. A fiction collection can be checked out by members for use at home. An off-line computer is provided for those wishing to take notes or write. The library welcomes suggestions.

Note: The only books which may leave the library are those marked FIC or FICT on the spine. These may be checked out by members only. The card should be signed with name, phone number, and the date three weeks forward when the book must be returned.
